Project Overview

Analysing CAN bus traffic and enhancing controller design to detect and prevent cyberattacks against connected vehicles.

This project investigates security vulnerabilities on the Controller Area Network (CAN) bus used in modern vehicles. We develop detection algorithms for malicious behaviour by analysing CAN traffic, and explore how to harden controllers against attacks introduced via external connectivity and edge devices.
